Artificial Intelligence (AI)
At its simplest form, artificial intelligence (popularly known as AI) is a field, that combines computer science and robust datasets, to enable problem-solving. It also encompasses sub-fields of machine learning and deep learning, which are frequently mentioned in conjunction with artificial intelligence. These disciplines are comprised of AI algorithms which seek to create expert systems which make predictions or classifications based on input data. The applications for AI are growing every day, and mankind and industries at large are starting to explore the possibilities.
Machine Learning is an AI technique that teaches computers to learn from experience. Machine learning algorithms use computational methods to “learn” information directly from data without relying on a predetermined equation as a model. The algorithms adaptively improve their performance as the number of samples available for learning increases. Deep learning is a specialized form of machine learning.
In tune with the times, RIST has a well-formulated and concrete degree course in AI and ML.

However, as an Automated Robotics Engineer, you will regularly need to make use of all engineering fields when working. Still, the software aspect serves as the glue that holdsothers together.
Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering is the art of directing the great sources of power in nature for the use and convenience of man, as the means of production and of traffic in states, both for external and internal trade, as applied in the construction of roads, bridges, aqueducts, canals, river navigation and docks for internal intercourse navigation by artificial power for the purposes of commerce, and in the construction and application of machinery, and in the drainage of cities and towns.
The research organizations and industries that work in this frontier areas of Civil Engineering are in need of highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower. This manpower can be available only with flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries.
Mechanical Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering exists ever since the inception of the college in the year 2010. RIST Electrical Department strive to produce world class professionals who can compete with the industry’s best brains. We believe that students need to enhance their technical skills, sharpen their innovation and passion for learning and therefore we encourage our students to involve in several Industries oriented projects. The IEEE, ISTE, IE chapters and the entrepreneurship cell working in the college cater the need of the students.
Electronics and Communication Engineering
The Electronics and Communication industries continue to be the major growth areas both in India and worldwide and offer excellent job opportunities. What you will study reflects the wide diversity of communication and data transmission technologies which we all accept as a vital part of our everyday lives from traditional radio, telegraphy and microwave systems to the state of the art optical, satellite and cellular (mobile) communication systems. Electronic Engineers and Technicians undertake the design, implementation and manufacture of a wide variety of sophisticated electronic and communication technologies. The demand for electronic engineers and technicians is very high and jobs are almost the highest paid in the engineering sector.
Computer Science and Engineering
Computer Science (Computing Engineering) is the study of the theoretical foundations of information, computation, their implementation, application in computer systems. Computer science has many sub-fields; some emphasize the computation of specific results (such as computer graphics), while others relate to properties of computational problems (such as computational complexity theory). Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations. For example, programming language theory studies approaches to describing computations, while computer programming applies specific programming languages to solve specific computational problems. A further sub field, human-computer interaction, focuses on the challenges in making computers and computations useful, usable and universally accessible to people. Computer era was started in early 1950s. The technological advancement has given it the right shape. We have seen the development from large ENIAC to small Palmtops and the progress in going on.
Applied Science and Humanities
Knowledge in basic science is an essential ingredient of any professional course. Department of applied science and humanities aims to fulfill this function most efficiently. This Department is devoted to foster the fundamental principles and understanding of science that are capable of enhancing the human experience. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, economics and Humanities. Humanities comprises disciplines such as English, Economics, Management, Counselling and the two federal departments of Placement & Training and Physical Education are all handled by individual faculties, who are highly qualified and professionally competent in their respective fields.
