Civil engineering department is part of Rajadhani Institute of Science & Technology since inception and aims at creating the finest civil engineers who can effectively work in the industry as well as show their innovations in the research field.

It is led by the Head of the department and efficient faculty members who not only teach the topics mentioned in the syllabus with high expertise but also makes the students aware of the current trends in the field.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Civil Engineering is:

To impart core fundamental principles of engineering and science which will enable the learner to provide solutions to complex problems related to infrastructure design and developments.
To equip the learners with the knowledge of the latest software and modern tools and automation practices to enable them to implement fast, accurate, efficient and sophisticated techniques of planning, design and analysis.
To provide a platform of industry institution interaction encouraging the learners to implement innovative ideas and projects, leading to novel practices of sustainable development in the diverse fields of civil engineering.
To inculcate moral and ethical values through enriched curriculum amongst the learners enabling them to implement policies & make decisions that are desirable in engineering practices & research.

MESSAGE FROM HOD’S DESK

It is a constant human endeavor to strive for a better living. Accomplished infrastructure is required for the society in all its domains. Civil Engineering involves the design, construction and management of structures and infrastructure systems across its allied domains. The latest innovations and developments in the civil industry need engineers having multidisciplinary knowledge background. Our major emphasis is to deliver the course structure that incorporates and integrates the elements of conventional civil engineering with advanced transformative technologies in regards with design, construction and management.

The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2010 with an undergraduate programme affiliated to Calicut University. From 2015, it is offered as per curriculum of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).The department has highly qualified faculty members specialized in various disciplines of Civil Engineering. They add strength to the department with their competitive skills and steadfast dedication. The Department is equipped with full-fledged Laboratories engaged in Research and Consultancy apart from regular academics. The department, besides providing a platform for students to qualify as good Civil Engineers, in parts an exposure to beyond technical hour sessions, talks by experts and industrial visits.
